Valentina is professor of History of Medicine at Sapienza, University of Rome. She has dealt with the history of gynecology from the classical age to the modern age, the origins of pathological anatomy, the history of ethics and medical deontology.

She is editor of the international magazine "Medicine in the centuries" published by this publishing house.
