Dr. Kotterman is an experienced researcher with 10 years of experience in virology, molecular biology, oncolytic viruses, and gene therapy vector discovery. She is a founding member of the management team and Senior Director of Discovery & Engineering at 4D Molecular Therapeutics and is co-founder of IGNITE Immunotherapy. Dr. Kotterman received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
