I study the effects of the protein, GABPβ1L, on regulation of the mutant TERT promoter, and its impact on cell immortality. I am exploring a therapeutic approach in glioblastoma patient-derived cell cultures to specifically target the mutant TERT promoter, which should limit effects on non-cancerous cells.
